Boxcars

50-foot, 70-ton, waffle side, cushion underframe single sheath boxcars for paper service.

Specifications:
Cars were manufactured new by Pullman Standard and remanufactured in 1994-1995 for paper service with CSX Transportation as lessee. The cars feature all steel welded single sheath construction with waffle sides and pressed dreadnaught ends lined with steel plate. Short sections of DF-2 belt rails are welded in the waffles flush with the interior surface of the side sheets. The doors are Youngstown Steel Door sliding doors with lifter levers. The cars are equippped with FMI 20BN gas operated center of car cushioning units as part of the 1994-1995 upgrade package.
